No Hope at All – I had a number of songs that I was thinking of using for the album and was typing out lyrics to some of the songs on the computer.
BBC Radio 4 was on and I was listening to a lady being interviewed about troubles in the world and she basically said, that she didn’t hold out a lot of hope for the human race.
I wrote the lyrics there and then but with a question and answer style. Is there hope? Isn’t there hope? These are only my views. Are these only my views?
It was going to be the last track on the album, but I was persuaded ☺ to maybe have a less depressing end to the project. So………..
lyrics
No Hope at all
So they say we are human,
But look at what’s going on,
War, Torture and Cruelty,
That’s why I’ve written this song,
So I’ve written this song,
For the few who are happy,
There’s many more who are sad,
The wrong use of religion,
It’s driving me mad,
Is it driving you mad?
They say we are peaceful,
Just look at the news,
Blood thirsty obsession,
But these are only my views,
Are these only my views?
Concentrate on the good things,
That your soul really feels,
Until we come to believe this,
There’s no hope at all,
There’s no hope at all,
Is there no hope at all?
